1 Day in Liechtenstein
DO NOT MISS
Vaduz Cathedral, Get you passport stamped at the tourism office.
ITINERARY
We choose to focus on Vaduz, the capital. Most of the sites are concentrated on the one main street. Besides the Art Museum ‘KunstMuseum‘, there are also smaller museums, such as the stamp museum. The Cathedral is located at the southern end of the main street, next to the Regierungsgebäude (government building) Since Liechtenstein has no airports and is a member of the Shengen Agreement, the only way you can get a stamp on your passport is to go to the tourism office and buy one.
LODGING
If you choose to lodge in Liechtenstien there is a youth hostel in Schaan but it closes in winter.
TRANSPORTATION
Public transportation in Liechtenstein is pretty efficient. You can also bike. Supposedly it only takes a few hours to bike from the Austria side to the Swiss side.
FOOD
We picked up food at the local super market but heard that Old Castle Inn is recommended. You can also do wine tasting at the Prince’s Vineyard.
TRAVELING WITH LESS TIME…
