2 Days in Botswana

Okavango Delta, Chobe National Park 

ITINERARY

Day 1: Hitchhike into Botswana, head for Sepopa Swamp Stop to book a boat safari

The 2 hour sunset boat ride was nice but you will need at least 4 hours to see any animals except for birds. Sepopa Swamp Stop has a herd of cats on premise and in general has a cool ambiance.

Day 2: Hitchhike out of Botswana and head to Zambia

LODGING 

Sepopa Swamp Stop is situated right on the delta. At night-time you can hear hippos making sounds nearby. They can help book boat trips. They also have lodging on and island that you boat in and spend the night.

TRANSPORTATION

There are public buses that take you from the upper delta to the lower near Maun however hitch hiking seem to be an ok way to move about.

• See rock paintings in the Tsodilo Hills
• Take a mokoro (traditional canoe) safari in Moremi Wildlife Reserve
• Visit Chobe National Park, make sure it’s the right season to see animals
